Germany 2017 – From St. Paul?s, Glenside to Germany – a journey of discovery celebrating Luther 500
Deutschland ist immer eine Reise wert. ? Germany is always worth a trip.
This saying holds true no matter when you go to Germany. But in 2017 a trip to Germany and to the sites where Martin Luther taught and lived and changed the world as we know it is even more appealing. Five hundred years ago a monk named Martin Luther who was a professor at Wittenberg University posted 95 theses that wanted to reform the church. We are saying the church but we might as well say the world. We find ourselves in a world that is constantly changing and may ask ourselves what is the big deal with Martin Luther. Well, try to imagine a world without cell phones. The trip is an invitation to learn something about our roots and to engage with some of Luther?s ideas.
Obviously we also want to get to know Germany a little better. You probably guessed that going there with someone who was born and raised in Germany might be somewhat of an advantage. Since I grew up in East Germany I will be able to share a unique perspective as I have lived through three different political systems now.
My hope is that everyone who decides to come on this trip will come back with a deeper appreciation for God?s world and a love for the country of the poets and thinkers (Dichter und Denker) and Martin Luther.
All trip arrangements will be handled through Reformation Tours, LLC.

Highlights: Berlin, Potsdam, Wittenberg, Leipzig, Eisleben, Dresden, Zwickau, Erfurt, Eisenach, Rothenburg, Mainz and Rhine Cruise
Cost: $2999 (Land arrangement only, prices for flights will be available later in 2016, includes most meals and entrance fees, gratuities etc.)
